Lab-Grown Diamonds

At Jeweler's Touch we have the exclusive Lab-Grown Collection. Featuring premium cut diamonds with maximum brilliance at affordable prices. These diamonds are hand selected with strict criteria. Very few diamonds meet the standards to become part of our Lab-Grown Collection.

Natural Diamonds

Natural diamonds are the result of carbon atoms held deep in the Earth. They form under crushing pressure and intense heat over eons. When first mined, the stones are rough and translucent, seemingly unremarkable. Only after expert polishing and cutting do they become the brilliant gemstones you see in jewelry.

Diamonds

Diamonds often reflect what’s important to you, symbolizing your most special commitments. The skilled experts at Jeweler’s Touch have the experience to match you or your special someone with the perfect diamond for the occasion.

What Makes a Diamond?

A diamond is a crystalline carbon structure created either naturally in the Earth or synthetically in a laboratory. For a more precise diamond education of what makes this gem so desirable, the industry uses a standard called the 4C’s:

  • Cut: The cut refers to the diamond's proportions, symmetry, and polish. A well-cut diamond reflects light brilliantly, maximizing its sparkle and beauty.

  • Color: Diamonds are graded on a color scale. Generally, the less color a diamond has, the more valuable it is.

  • Clarity: The clarity describes the presence of internal and external flaws or inclusions within the diamond. The fewer inclusions, the higher the clarity grade and the more valuable the diamond.

  • Carat weight: This measures the diamond's weight. Larger diamonds typically have a higher value, but the other Cs also play significant roles in determining a diamond's worth.

Lab Grown Diamonds

Lab-grown diamonds are created by simulating the natural diamond-creation process. A carbon seed is placed in a chamber with a mixture of gasses and subjected to intense heat and pressure — but instead of eons, it takes weeks.

Unless you’re an expert or you have specialized equipment, there’s no way to visually tell the difference between Natural Diamond and lab-grown diamonds. Lab-grown diamonds are available in all the same shapes, cuts, and styles as mined diamonds.

Popular Diamond Shapes

A diamond’s shape refers to how it appears as you look at it from the top down. Some available shapes are round, princess, emerald, oval, marquise, pear, cushion, radiant, Asscher cut, and heart.

Choosing the Right Carat Size

A number of factors can impact your choice of diamond carat size, primarily your style and budget. Generally, a larger-carat diamond is more expensive, but not always

For instance, if diamond carats are important to you when purchasing a wedding band, but you’re on a tight budget, you could still purchase a band with more carats if you’re okay with less-than-perfect clarity or the cut isn’t exactly what you envisioned.

Choose Jeweler’s Touch as your diamond-buying guide. We’ll help you evaluate diamonds based on their 4Cs, shape, and personal criteria and match you with the perfect diamond.

Diamond Appraisal and Insurance

Among the many services available at Jeweler's Touch, we offer diamond appraisals. You may need an appraisal for insurance, estate value determination, resale advice, dissolution of marriage, or charitable donations.

Bring in your diamond along with any associated documentation, such as receipts, diamond certificates, diamond reports, or previous appraisals. Our on-site GIA (Gemological Institute of America) certified gemologist will evaluate your diamond using a 10X gemscope. Based on the evaluation and market research, we’ll provide you with an appraisal. The process takes about two weeks.

Jeweler’s Touch offers insurance through Zillion. It’s a good idea to insure your diamond to cover loss, accidental damage, or theft.
