Do you specialize in a particular area? If so, please tell us about your specialty.I’m a floater, so I do a little bit in every department. If I had to pick one thing, I really like working on the laser engraver. Since you can model everything before starting, it’s convenient and can be lower risk than hand engraving. Plus, there are a lot of things you can only do with a laser.
How did you get started in the jewelry industry?I started as a holiday-season gift wrapper. I would come in during the busy season to help lighten the load on the overwhelmed staff. After a couple years, I was offered a year-round position as a store assistant!
What do you love most about working in the jewelry industry?I love making things. I love using my creativity to problem solve and come up with new ideas, and the jewelry industry is one that has plenty of space for them.
