INITIAL CONSULTATION
Expect to set aside a few minutes to a few hours depending on the complexity of your ideas. The jeweler will want to hear all the details of your design. If you have drawings, even better. You’ll discuss everything from ring size and shape to the type of metal you prefer, to the setting and diamond characteristics. You can also request other gemstones to be included.
GENERATING A CUSTOM RENDERING
Creating a precise rending can take time. At Jeweler’s Touch, we can produce a detailed 3D CAD image in as little as 48 hours. Some jewelers may take longer depending on how complex the design is. But we get to work as soon as you approve our quote.
REVIEWING THE INITIAL DESIGN
You’ll have an opportunity to review the design rendered in digital format. Approving it outright means the jeweler can get started with production. You can also request modifications. This can add a couple more days but ensures your custom wedding rings meet every expectation.
CREATING THE RING OF YOUR DREAMS
We can prepare a prototype in about one week after you approve the final design. Different crafting methods can be used to make a prototype ring (hand sculpting, wax milling, or 3D printing). While minor alterations are still possible, additional changes will extend the time for completing the final product. Every ring is manufactured in precise detail, checked for defects, cleaned, and polished. Gems are set precisely as you requested them.
It takes about two weeks to fabricate a custom wedding ring from the design of a working prototype. More complex designs can take as long as three weeks.
